Why Gallery Furniture Gives Back

Even the best of the best need a hand now and again. That’s because everything comes with a price tag, no matter how sincere your intentions are and how righteous the cause. And if you want to help others live their dreams, accomplish their goals or simply give them an opportunity they wouldn’t normally have, you need to first have the means to offer them assistance. That’s why Gallery Furniture makes it a point to give back to the community.

Because the city of Houston, Texas, has always supported his dreams, Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale is devoted to helping his neighbors in the Houston community. Whenever he sees an opportunity to give back, he does so eagerly, living by the motto, “Grateful for Everything, entitled to Nothing.” This saying and the perspective it represents keeps him grounded, and with two feet planted solidly on the ground, he can see where his philanthropy can make a difference. In fact, with each purchase made at Gallery Furniture, Mattress Mack is able to continue supporting important local and national causes.

Gallery Furniture has provided scholarships, helped fund medical research, furnished USO facilities, and even assisted evacuees after Hurricane Katrina. The Gallery team has supported many worthy causes in the Houston area for over 30 years, and no cause is too big — or too small — for the generous hearts at Gallery Furniture.

Know that the Perez family is in our prayers. To apply for assistance with clean-up from the Hurricane, they can go to this page https://www.galleryfurniture.com/Rebuild-TX and get help clearing out debris! You are great to be helping them out like you are. The need in Houston is so large right now, that only by all working together will everyone be helped.
