This Fourth of July is the perfect day to celebrate with your family and friends, with the opportunity to support a great cause at the same time. Barrio Dogs is inviting you out to their 4th Annual Freedom for All Community March at Magnolia Park this Saturday, July 4th from 10 am to noon.

As a non-profit organization that strives to bring awareness toward the mistreatment and neglect of animals in Houston, specifically the East End, Barrio Dogs has been making an impact on our community since 2010. As Houston’s animal overpopulation crisis has been taking center stage, the organization has grown to provide free spay and neutering services as well as educate the public about proper animal care.

Although personal pets aren’t allowed, you are encouraged to bring your own signs and banners for the march to promote change and help our animals. You’ll be joining other passionate animal lovers as you help share important animal information with the Magnolia Park’s residents, including the importance of keeping pets off the streets, not chaining them and properly getting them fixed.

The cost to attend the event is free, but you are asked to register on the “Freedom for All,” event page.

Start your holiday off by assisting one Houston’s non-profit organizations that has a direct impact on our community. What other great organizations that you support in giving back to Houston?
