We love to hear of successful fundraisers that will directly affect our Houston community! For many years, the Rotary Club of Houston has been recognized for their tremendous generosity and ability to raise money for communities all across the Greater Houston area. Houston CultureMap reported that in an effort to raise more funds for local communities, the Rotary Club organized an event at Kiran’s Indian Restaurant in Houston in hopes of raising $1 million.
The organization was blown away after they received donations totaling a whopping $2.1 million. Amazingly, this was accomplished without auction or special guests. Instead, just generous people trying to make a difference in our great city was all that was needed to give the organization a boost. All of the money from the event is going towards continuing education and healthcare initiatives, as well as growing our economy.
The Rotary Club of Houston is an organization that provides humanitarian services to those in need from schools, hospitals, and everything in between.
