The Angel of Life Foundation is inviting you to their upcoming “My Cancer is Beautiful” event on Saturday, July 19, 2014. With the goal to raise funds to find a cure for cancer and raise cancer awareness, this event is perfect for anyone who has been personally affected by the disease.
Founded in 2013, the Angel of Life Foundation is a breast cancer support group that helps women right here in Houston. When women need a listening ear, they make sure someone is available for meetings or reachable by phone or email.
In addition to the wonderful beauty tips that will be provided at “My Cancer is Beautifu,l” to help those in chemotherapy keep their skin healthy; guest speakers will be sharing their stories. Doctors will also be there to help educate the attendees on how to detect common symptoms to aid in early detection as well as discuss the different types of cancers.
To help every woman going through cancer still feel beautiful, the Angel of Life Foundation will also use some of the funds to give away free wigs and to fight back against cancer the Cancer Society will also receive a portion of the money raised during the event.
