We love to hear about incredibly unique and fun events that allow people who have gone through challenges to bond with others who can relate. If you are an organ donor or transplant recipient living in the Houston area, register for the Transplant Games of America to enjoy five days of friendly competition with individuals who have undergone lifesaving surgeries.

The Transplant Games of America invites donors and recipients to partake in this multi-sport event to support the cause for organ donation. Registration is open to individuals who are bone marrow, organ or corneal, and tissue recipients as well as all living donors. The games are more than simply friendly competition; it emphasizes the importance of organ donations by celebrating the lives of those involved.

Individuals can participate in more than 15 competitive events, including a 5K run, a virtual triathlon, swimming relays, table tennis, ballroom dancing, and a trivia challenge. Teams are also required for some of the games, so round up a few friends for memorable summer fun, and let the games begin!

Sponsors from all over the Houston area have been very generous donating their time and facilities to make these wonderful games possible. The events will take place from July 11th-15th in different locations all over the city such as BBVA Compass Stadium, Rice University, and Memorial Park Golf Club.

Find out how to register, how to volunteer, and more information on the games you can participate in by visiting the Transplant Games of America website. Celebrate what it means to donate the gift of life with so many other people who are ready to have an incredible time raising organ, eye, and tissue donation awareness– a cause that they’ve experienced the incredible effects of firsthand.
