Donation Town: Helping You Give Back to Those in Need

After the holidays, you may find your closets filled with clothes or other gifts you do not need. Donation Town is an online charity directory developed to connect you with local charities in the area that offer free donation pickups. Your gently used clothing or household items that you aren’t using can find a new home with someone in need.

How it all Began

Upon not finding a website that focused on giving away non-cash donations, volunteers came together in 2008 to create Donation Town to help charities get more items they can use. Many people are unaware of just how many organizations offer a free donation pick up service to help them work charitable acts into their busy schedules.

The process is simple! You collect the items you’d like to donate, visit Donation Town for a list of charities that will pick up your donations, and a free pick up is provided without you ever leaving the house or calling a bunch of non-profit organizations to find out how to donate.

Whether you have something for children, homeless, veterans, faith, humane society or medical charities, Donation Town is made up of volunteers that are dedicated to ensuring donations are steady flowing.

Using this online directory ensures that your donations are going to respectable, charitable causes and are tax-deductible, along with helping you keep your home clutter-free. Why not give away those items you haven’t touched in months to someone who can benefit from them, compared to throwing them away to rot in landfill?

Get involved by completing your spring cleaning and get connected using Donation Town! It makes donating items much simpler to allow you to truly enjoy what it means give back to those in need in our community!

There are many ways to donate and help out. Right now many families are just focusing on cleaning up their homes after Hurricane Harvey. Please visit here: https://www.galleryfurniture.com/Rebuild-TX to volunteer or request assistance. Thank you.
