This month you can make a difference one step at a time at the 2014 Muscle Walk! Join participants on Saturday, April 26, 2014, at Memorial City Hall from 8:00am-10:00 am to help raise awareness and funds for the biggest event for muscle disease in the country!
This non-competitive big walk honors all the adults and children who suffer with one of more than forty muscle diseases in the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) program. The walk will also be one mile or less, participants are encouraged to bring out their family and friends for light exercise and fun in the sun!
As the first non-profit organization to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Medical Association, MDA does make a significant impact in the lives of those affected. The money raised will be used by MDA to fund research and provide critical services to individuals and families who are struggling with neuromuscular disease.
If you aren’t interested in walking, The Muscle Walk could use your help as a volunteer as well. You’d be assisting with registration, cleaning up, assembling team packets and so much more. Please donate your time in any way you can to help MDA continue to do the incredible work it does!
